The MGM Resorts group sells one of their casinos in Nevada

The MGM Resorts International group has announced that it has entered into a sales contract with the company JETT Gaming.
The company is going to sell the Gold Strike Hotel & Gambling Hall in Clark County, Nevada.
The price for the 27 year-old property has not been disclosed.
Additionally, it is also important to note that for the transaction to be completed, the regulatory authority has to approve it first.

The Gold Strike Hotel & Gambling Hall

The Gold Strike Hotel & Gambling Hall is located about 21 kilometres from the border between Nevada and California, and about 51 miles from downtown Las Vegas.
The property has a 300-room hotel, two restaurants, a casino offering 400 slot machines and a wide range of table games, and a room dedicated to sports betting.
The property was bought by MGM Resorts International as part of a sales contract signed with Mandalay Bay in 2005.
The JETT Gaming is a slot machine operator and owned by the Herbst family, who are known for their brand of gas stations and car washes.
They are operating slots in 131 locations in their gas stations and two smaller casinos in Nevada that the company owns as well.
As part of the transaction, the company will also acquire a truck stop gas station nearby.

Another sale last month

If the deal goes through, it will be the second sale of a smaller casino from the MGM Resorts International group this year.
The company has sold another facility in Clark County, Nevada last month.
It is called Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino.
This complex is 83 years old and located in Henderson.
Again, the terms of the sale were not disclosed.
To explain both sales, Dan D’Arrigo, who is responsible for MGM Resorts International finances said that the group continually reviews their portfolio of complexes in order to remain among the leading casino operators.
