Belgium will grant its licences from September 2011

Last Friday, the Royal Decree providing for the distribution of licences was published on the Belgian Official Gazette.
From 1 September, casinos, automatic gaming rooms and betting sites that have already been granted a license for their offline activity will be able to apply for an online license as well.
The operators will be able to offer online the same games that they already feature in their offline gaming sites.
From now on, requestors who intend to apply for the Belgian online gaming license will be able to offer their product online with immediate start thanks to a temporary authorization by the Belgian Gambling Commission.
Gaming site that have not obtained a license will start to be blocked in 2012.
Non-Belgian operators will only be persecuted if their product offer is aimed specifically at the Belgian audience.
