PricewaterhouseCoopers just published an interesting study.
Named Global Gaming Outlook : The casino and online gambling market to 2015, it focuses on the evolution of the gambling industry, both online and offline, towards 2015.
According to the audit agency, Asia will emerge as the most important continent for the sector.
Macao will continue to grow, with an annual rate of 18%.
On their side, Hong Kong and Manila should develop their activity and become major destinations. This way, the APAC region (Asia, Pacific) will take up to 45% of the global market.
Bear in mind Singapore, the most promising state in the field, did not have any casino back in 2009.
This year, local gambling actors will make an estimated revenue of 4,4 billion dollars.
By 2015, Singapore will exceed the french annual revenue, with 7 billion dollars.
On the other side of the planet, the US market seems saturated.
Indeed, it should reach 70 billion dollars in 2015, with only 5% growth.
France should do quite well and maintain its leadership in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa), directly followed by Germany and South Africa.
