Bodog.com seized by american justice
Calvin Ayre, founder of Bodog, which has for a long time been one of the most popular gambling platform in the states, along with three of his associates, have all been accused by federal prosecutors from the city of Baltimore, Maryland.
They say that they have made an illegal gambling activity between June 2005 and January 2012, made prohibited transfers background and facts of illegal advertising.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has seized the Bodog.com domain name.
The group incurs a $500K fine and the four defendants are liable to five years imprisonment for illegal gambling, and 20 years for money laundering.
In his defense, BodogBrand recalls that the offending domain name is no longer used since last May and that its offer is no longer available in the U.S. since last January 1st.
